JobContax is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer, Transportation to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to our clients in the highway and public realm and transportation areas.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in contract administration and project management, with experience in managing disparate projects in the highway, transportation, or construction industries. You will be working closely with contractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and support to clients in the highway and public realm and transportation areas
- Manage contract administration and project management activities, including periodic audits and checks on existing tunnel and motorway service area facility systems and operations
- Develop and manage detailed contract variations or task orders in respect of tunnel life cycle renewal and upgrade activities
- Administer and monitor PPP Contracts, including checking of key documentation deliverables and the carrying out of periodic audits and checks
- Provide advice on matters relating to NEC3 Contract administration or any other contract that may be entered into in respect of a tunnel/service area
- Monitor compliance with Tunnel Safety Directive obligations across all tunnels on the national road network
- Provide project and programme management services in connection with the client's schemes which impact the Project's facilities and their operation
Requirements:
- A level eight qualification recognised by the National Framework of Qualifications/Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), or other equivalent qualification in the field of civil, structural, mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering
- At least 5 years' post-graduate experience in working with infrastructural projects
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to liaise with others including public sector officials, members of the public, and other Senior colleagues
- Good experience and knowledge of project or programme management, ideally in a multidisciplinary environment
- A good understanding of the Microsoft platform and applications particularly Project, Excel and Word
What We Offer:
JobContax offers a competitive hourly rate of €30-€35 per hour for this contract role.
