Munich Re, a global leader in reinsurance, is in search of a skilled IT Compliance Risk Manager to enhance its Life & Health operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to IT compliance standards and regulations.

Reporting directly to the Head of IT Compliance Americas, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and overseeing IT compliance obligations to guarantee alignment with local regulatory frameworks and global IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for all internal, external, and regulatory IT audit inquiries, including questionnaires and reporting obligations.
  • Facilitate the comprehensive coordination of IT audits, collaborating with relevant stakeholders throughout the preparation, execution, and reporting phases.
  • Conduct ongoing gap analyses of emerging laws and regulations, working closely with stakeholders to communicate necessary adjustments for sustained compliance.
  • Monitor and manage IT reporting obligations, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Provide expert guidance on IT regulatory and compliance matters, including awareness initiatives.
  • Assist IT teams in identifying, assessing, and managing compliance risks by offering guidance, templates, and tools.
  • Ensure alignment of compliance goals with Group IT policies and standards, advising on necessary documentation to meet compliance targets.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the IT compliance audit gaps register.
  • Promote collaboration among IT compliance officers globally.
  • Extend support to IT compliance officers in various locations.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting and responding to audits, designing controls, and implementing risk mitigation strategies, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISA or CIA are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information effectively.
  • Highly organized and structured, with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and influencing stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Competent in presenting results to various management levels, including senior executives.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
