About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at AP Group Ltd. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high level of quality.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, meeting client expectations.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, adhering to industry standards.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, guaranteeing a sturdy and secure structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, achieving a seamless finish.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs), ensuring physical capabilities meet job requirements.
