Computer Lab Support Specialist

Job Summary: High Tech Genesis is seeking a skilled Lab Support professional to join our team. As an IT Lab Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining our lab equipment, working with our engineering team to resolve issues, and contributing to the upkeep of our automated tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair various lab equipment, including routers, switches, and generic lab equipment.
  • Case Management: Open and track cases for the lab team to expand our infrastructure system.
  • Equipment Installation: Work with the lab team to install new equipment and ensure seamless integration.
  • Server Management: Update and recover ESXi VM and baremetal Linux servers.
  • Tool Development: Assist in the development and upkeep of automated tooling to maintain our lab environment.
  • Lab Equipment Analysis: Work with the engineering team to identify and resolve issues with lab equipment.
  • Linux Environment: Work with a Linux environment and have experience with scripting languages such as bash, tcl, and python.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Switching and Routing Experience: Experience working with switching and routing equipment.
  • Equipment Racking and Cabling: Experience racking and cabling equipment in a data center environment.
  • Data Center Experience: Experience working in a data center environment.
  • Linux Server Experience: Experience setting up and supporting Linux servers.

Optional Skills:

  • CCNA Certification: CCNA certification.
  • UCX Experience: Experience with UCX.
  • VMware Experience: Experience with VMware.
  • High EQ: High emotional quotient.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
