Position Overview

The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our dining establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organization, and a commitment to quality service.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months in a similar role is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Train team members on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the ingredients and supplies necessary for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Oversee the assembly of food trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 1 to 2 staff members.
  • Oversee food and beverage servers.
  • Manage food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Guide kitchen and food service helpers.
Work Conditions
