Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at Shell Gas Station. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Count and balance cash register at the end of each shift
  • Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments
  • Scan items and tabulate total payment for goods or services required
  • Receive payment for goods or services and provide change as needed
  • Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or cash handling experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
