We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Magna International Inc. as a Weekend Shift Specialist. This is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in machinery maintenance and repair.
Your Responsibilities
• Maintain and repair various machinery and equipment as scheduled or required, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Fabricate items as needed using various welding techniques, ensuring precision and quality.
• Operate complex machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic problems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate records of duties performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
• Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Recognized Certificate of Qualification in Millwrighting or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working as a licensed Millwright, with a strong background in machinery maintenance and repair.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication, with the ability to work with a variety of materials and equipment.
• Familiarity with Milling Machines and other complex machinery, with the ability to operate and maintain them safely and efficiently.
• Orientation and training in safety procedures, controlled entry, welding, WHMIS, forklift operation, crane operation, fire extinguisher training, emergency procedures for power presses, confined space entry, lockout procedures, first aid, TDG, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, 5S, CI suggestion program, spill training, propane and compressed gases, contractor safety, and 3R/waste management.
