This role is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring a high level of precision and service for both internal teams and external clients. The position involves overseeing daily warehouse tasks across several key areas: receiving shipments, fulfilling orders, and managing logistics for inbound and outbound freight. Prioritizing tasks effectively is essential to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently processing and organizing outgoing orders, which includes picking, packaging, and shipping items.
- Loading and unloading freight from supplier trucks.
- Conducting inventory management by counting and storing products in the warehouse, with the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Performing inspections and inventory audits to address discrepancies between ordered and received goods, focusing on quality, quantity, and accuracy.
- Updating incoming orders using Oracle's NetSuite and generating necessary documentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of stock in both warehouse and retail spaces.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and effective inventory control practices.
- Coordinating transportation logistics as needed to fulfill customer orders.
- Identifying issues and applying problem-solving skills to resolve them promptly.
- Reporting damaged or defective items to facilitate timely inventory adjustments.
- Upholding daily housekeeping and safety protocols within the warehouse environment.
- Accurately preparing orders for shipping the next day, including completing the order log with precise information.
- Informing the Warehouse Lead Hand about any orders that remain unshipped.
- Managing returned goods by determining their next steps: restocking, disposal, examination, or return to the supplier.
- Demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
