Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time (One Year Contract)
Groves Memorial Community Hospital is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a temporary part-time receptionist at a bustling medical facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to all incoming calls in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Utilizing and updating the TELUS EMR system/Ocean.
- Sorting and distributing incoming faxes and scanned documents into the EMR.
- Managing patient flow within the office efficiently.
- Transcribing physician notes as required.
- Adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient care areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical reception role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records is beneficial.
- Experience with OHIP billing is a plus.
- Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, with a significant portion of the role involving typing and transcription.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Current CPR Certification.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
- Up-to-date vaccinations or willingness to obtain them.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.
