Job Title: Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Highland Manor Fergus. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Associate will assist with daily patient care activities, including cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment. You will also perform tasks related to patient comfort, personal care, and transportation. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment
  • Perform tasks related to patient comfort, personal care, and transportation
  • Assess patients' physical abilities and make recommendations for care
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Co-ordinate in-house laundry services
  • Bundle, label, bag, and route mail into the proper delivery stream
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods and combination of sitting, standing, and walking
