Role: Climate Adaptation Solutions DirectorArcadis is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Climate Adaptation Solutions Director to join our team in Canada. We are recognized as an industry leader in climate adaptation, providing comprehensive solutions that help communities thrive in the face of climate uncertainty.
Our Expertise:- Climate risk & mitigation/adaptation planning
- Design and engineering of integrated flood resilience solutions
- Hydraulic design and construction
- Dams and river basins
- Resilient ports & waterways, including berths, jetties, quay walls, and breakwaters
Reporting to the Canada Sales Director with dotted-line collaboration to the Climate Adaptation Global Solutions Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth for our climate adaptation business in Canada.
You will:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client needs in areas such as emerging issues, evolving market trends, and regulatory drivers.
- Assess the competitive landscape within the industry.
- Generate industry-leading insights to drive the development of differentiated value-added technical solution strategies aligned with our global strategy.
- Collaborate with the Canadian leadership team to execute on our Resilience Climate Adaptation go-to-market strategy.
- Actively participate in social media, promoting Arcadis' people, projects, campaigns, thought leadership, and global strategy.
- Contribute to the Global Solution team by sharing industry-leading insights and expertise with other countries.
- Recruit, develop, and manage employees; coach and mentor them to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 10+ years of experience in a leading consulting firm within the relevant industry.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or Planning. A Master's Degree is considered an asset.
