Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough trademark clearance searches and review marketing materials to identify potential IP/trademark risks.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to manage the company's Canadian and international trademark portfolios.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on special projects and major marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions for the procurement group, marketing team, and other business functions.
  • Assist in managing and updating the IP team's online resource library of self-serve tools.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of annual team objectives.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence within the IP team that reflects Loblaw's values.
Requirements:
  • Registered Trademark Agent with CPATA with 3+ years of relevant trademark/intellectual property experience.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • A self-starter and team player with a professional manner.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • In-house experience is an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
