This well-established office is located in Edmonton and is seeking a skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to enhance their dynamic team. The firm has built a reputation for delivering outstanding service across various sectors.

ROLE SUMMARY
As a seasoned Architectural Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing detailed working drawing packages and construction documentation for submission and tender processes.

• Engaging with clients throughout different project phases to ensure satisfaction and alignment with their vision.

• Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of project budgets and timelines.

• Overseeing the preparation of technical drawings by junior architects and professionals.

• Crafting and delivering client presentations while showcasing design drawings.

• Ensuring that all construction detail documentation adheres to quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards.

• Mentoring and guiding less experienced technical staff while leading a team of technologists.

• Preparing documentation for permit applications.

• Participating in team meetings to address project challenges, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure adherence to schedules and technical requirements.

• Involvement in project reviews concerning costs, budgets, and timelines.

• Communicating effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with regular interactions with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Diverse project experience across various sectors.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of national building codes and regulations.
  • Proficient in BIM 360 and Revit, with familiarity in AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, and 3D rendering software considered an asset.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent leadership capabilities.
  • Effective client liaison skills.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of technical drawings during the hiring process.
