Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Galaxy Childcare & Montessori (Hensall) Inc.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves developing and implementing child-care programs, supervising staff and trainees, and assisting with daily activities such as preparing snacks and arranging rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs and activities that promote child development.
  • Lead activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children on outings.
  • Assist with record-keeping and reporting on child progress.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various activities.
  • Engage children in activities and provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Criminal record check.
Working Conditions:

40 hours per week, permanent position.

Language of work: English.
