Job Summary
A Brief Overview
This role serves as the primary point of contact for the department, handling requests for information, drafting correspondence, and coordinating meetings. The successful candidate will assist with planning and coordinating various events, maintain a calendar for booking conference rooms and classrooms, and perform general accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, requisitions, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities

- Perform general accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, requisitions, and reconciliations.
- Assist with planning and coordinating various events, including conferences, workshops, and meetings.
- Maintain a calendar for booking conference rooms and classrooms.
- Order office supplies and equipment.
- Confirm and process expenses and reimbursements, including procurement cards.
- Assign and maintain key system access.
Required Education and Experience
- Two-Year Community College Diploma.
- More than 1 year and up to and including 2 years of experience.
Job Knowledge and Requirements
- Knowledge and insight of practical methods, techniques, and work processes typically acquired through a combination of technical training and/or work experience.
- Provide information that requires technical or administrative explanation or interpretation.
- Attempt to resolve difficult or challenging interpersonal situations or overcome resistance to gain cooperation before referring to others.
- Manage own work effectively and follow through on commitments, using available resources.
- May distribute work to deliver objectives on time and to the highest standard and help others access resources to support goal achievement.
