Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight across North America and globally. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and carriers
  • Negotiate with shippers and carriers to ensure optimal pricing and service
  • Monitor shipment tracking and ensure timely pickup and delivery
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients and carriers to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Perform minor accounting functions and data entry

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the logistics industry is preferred
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset
  • High School Diploma
  • Customer service experience
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential
  • Professional phone mannerisms and an outgoing personality are required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
