Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer with a solid background in Python and JavaScript to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be tasked with creating, implementing, and executing testing strategies to ensure the excellence of our software offerings. This position demands a thorough understanding of software testing principles, automation tools, and a meticulous approach to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the software product's quality by performing automated tests to verify that the application adheres to established standards and specifications.
  • Craft detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized test plans and test cases. Execute these test cases and evaluate the outcomes.
  • Conduct extensive testing of web applications, identifying issues in both frontend and backend systems. Ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices.
  • Utilize test automation technologies to develop and maintain automated testing scripts. Enhance and refine testing frameworks to boost coverage and efficiency.
  • Document software defects using a bug tracking system and communicate issues to development teams. Work closely with developers to ensure prompt resolution of bugs.
  • Continuously enhance the testing process by integrating new testing tools and methodologies. Participate in the creation and review of software documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the development team to discuss test outcomes and troubleshoot issues. Work alongside Customer Success and Technical Support teams to address product inquiries and resolve technical challenges.
Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrated experience as a software tester or in a similar capacity, particularly in web application testing.
  • Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes. Proficient in drafting clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, etc. Ability to develop and troubleshoot test automation scripts.
  • Familiarity with Python and JavaScript is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to identify bugs and inconsistencies that may otherwise go unnoticed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a logical and systematic approach to challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clearly report findings.
  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
