Key Responsibilities- Assess and Document Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, documenting symptoms and changes in their status.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Supervise and Mentor Nursing Staff: Provide guidance and support to licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Manage administrative duties, including record-keeping and communication with patients and families.
- Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Experience and Skills: Experience in geriatric care, mental health, and nursing home settings, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications and Training: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, and eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.
