The Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP) is in search of a part-time Consultant in Addiction Medicine, eager to contribute to a newly established MHAP Addiction Medicine Consult Service.
This role encompasses a commitment of 0.2 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) at the Middleton Recovery Support Centre, part of Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
The selected physician will collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical team, delivering evidence-based withdrawal management and comprehensive mental health and addiction services in an outpatient setting.
The Consultant will also extend telephone consultative assistance to primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, emergency department staff, community pharmacists, and inpatient care physicians, aiding them in the identification and management of substance use disorders.
Work hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with onsite availability between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
There may be potential for virtual care opportunities, which can be discussed further with the appropriate personnel.
