Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator at Canada Wise Driving School Inc. This role involves coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring accuracy of completed time sheets, and maintaining work records and logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews to ensure efficient and safe transportation of goods
  • Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
  • Maintain work records and logs, including vehicle operator work records and mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations, and dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
  • Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
  • Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and require assistance
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with dispatch management service software
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and spreadsheet software
  • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player
