Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Supervisor to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our infrastructure assets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Management: Identify and prioritize maintenance work, ensuring that all assets are properly maintained and repaired in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Contract Management: Work with our Contract Manager to identify and qualify subcontractors, and assist in negotiating contract parameters.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with our clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned with our maintenance plans and activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues, and develop and implement solutions to prevent future problems.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports to management and stakeholders, and ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of work experience in construction and/or road maintenance industry, with previous supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficient in MS Excel and Word, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position will require regular travel to various work sites, and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
