Code Ninjas is a leading kids coding franchise in Canada, dedicated to providing a fun and engaging learning environment for children aged 5-14. Our centres offer a unique approach to coding education, focusing on hands-on learning and problem-solving skills.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Centre Director to lead our team at Code Ninjas Burnaby South. As a Centre Director, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading and developing staff, and ensuring our centre remains a fun and safe learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for students and staff.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent and uphold the Code Ninjas brand in all interactions, embodying our values and mission.
- Staff Development: Train and develop staff to effectively deliver camp curriculum, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Marketing Initiatives: Organize and manage event-based marketing campaigns to attract new students and promote our centre's services.
- Engagement: Actively engage with children and families within the centre, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Parent Communication: Ensure parents understand how their child is learning and progressing, providing regular updates and feedback.
- Supervision: Supervise a team of instructors (Code Senseis) and foster their development, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Environment: Maintain a fun and safe learning environment for students, ensuring a clean and well-maintained centre.
- Standards: Uphold corporate standards regarding centre cleanliness and operational excellence, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
- Adaptability: Think on your feet and be perceptive to the centre's dynamics, responding to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Reporting: Report regularly to the owners and other centre directors on centre activities and progress, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma
- Experience with Children: Work history with children aged 5 and up, with a passion for working with kids.
- Coding Knowledge: Coding knowledge or experience is an asset, but not required.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business operations, sales, and team leadership, with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with technology, social media, and office equipment, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Marketing Experience: Experience running social media and event-based marketing campaigns, with a focus on creativity and innovation.
- Flexibility: Flexible schedule to accommodate centre needs, with a willingness to work varied hours and shifts.
- Fun and Dynamic: Must be enjoyable to work with and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure nothing is overlooked.
