About the Role

F & S Logistics Limited is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Utilize computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.

Mountain Driving Expertise

Drive in mountainous terrain, requiring expertise and attention to detail to navigate challenging routes.

Teamwork and Communication

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.

Emergency Response and Repair

Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Cargo Security and Safety

Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to strict protocols and regulations.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

AZ class license and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) are required.

Documentation Knowledge

Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, and trip reports is essential.

Security and Safety

A clean driving record, criminal record check, and driver's validity license check are mandatory.

Personal Suitability

Judgment, organization, reliability, teamwork, hard work, patience, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for this role.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, requiring a 40-50 hour workweek. English is the primary language used in the workplace.
