Director Community Support Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Community Support Services to join our team at AFP Golden Horseshoe Chapter.

About the Role

The Director of Community Support Services will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and support our community members, donors, and stakeholders. This includes building relationships, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to build relationships with donors, community members, and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with local organizations and businesses
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, community members, and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, community members, and local organizations
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase community engagement and participation
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of increasing responsibility in stewardship, community engagement, and philanthropy
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with donors, community members, and stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong empathy and ability to work with diverse groups
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills
Assets
  • Second language proficiency
  • Knowledge of Community Suite by Foundant and familiarity with Google programs
  • Financial literacy and understanding of foundation business model and granting
