EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are in search of a visionary leader for our Philanthropy and Partnerships division in Canada. This individual will guide a skilled fundraising team to motivate Canadian supporters to engage and invest in our compelling initiatives aimed at:
- Empowering vulnerable youth to harness their potential and transform their lives.
- Equipping families with the necessary resources to combat extreme poverty in the world's most vulnerable regions.
- Providing women and girls with opportunities to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
This servant leader will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment with the overarching organizational strategy, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and the aspirations of the World Vision partnership.
The Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and Partnerships will create value and secure funding for World Vision's international initiatives by spearheading all philanthropic engagement and fostering relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and legacy donors, as well as cultivating meaningful partnerships with Canadian churches.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will engage in strategic planning for the organization and develop a growth strategy for the Philanthropy and Partnerships team that inspires Canadians to transition from traditional charitable giving to impactful contributions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership
Provide vision, motivation, and guidance to the Philanthropy and Partnerships team. Mentor and coach direct reports to enhance their capabilities and confidence. - Sustainable Revenue Growth
Enhance revenue streams through effective stewardship of current donors by refining development strategies and implementing proactive plans to attract and engage new donors through innovative fundraising methods. - Campaign Performance
Lead, equip, and empower teams to successfully develop and launch our large-scale capital campaign. - Donor Relationships
Manage a personal portfolio of key donors and prospects. Strategically plan for each key donor relationship by crafting tailored approaches to meet individual needs and expectations. - Volunteer Relationships
Collaborate with the President and CEO to assist in the recruitment, orientation, and ongoing support of Campaign volunteers and the Campaign Cabinet. - Strategic Planning
Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and colleagues to establish a feasible high-level vision and overall direction for the team. - External Relations
Represent World Vision Canada within the World Vision Partnership to share insights, collaborate, and address challenges. - Church and Christian Partnerships
Empower the team to strengthen our partnerships with Canadian churches, Christian faith leaders, and pastors.
