Job Summary

AltaGas is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Dispatcher to join our team in Sundre, AB. As a key member of our dispatch team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for company drivers and lease operators, ensuring maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and order processing.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and analyze data to optimize driver and equipment utilization, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance overall operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Asset team to schedule truck and trailer maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage electronic logs and GPS systems, including internal communication portals, HOS, speed, and collision alerts.
  • Prepare and submit reports to internal and external customers, marketing, and management.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, scheduling, or an equivalent role.
  • Previous oilfield experience and exposure to TDG best practices and procedures preferred.
  • Truckload Transportation Management software experience (TMW/Vector).
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required and dictated by customer demand.
