Job Summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Worker to join our team. As a Child Protection Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify the needs of children and families
  • Develop and implement case plans to address the needs of children and families
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
  • Provide education and support to parents and caregivers to promote healthy child development and family functioning
  • Participate in court proceedings and provide testimony as required

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a child protection or child welfare setting
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan's child welfare legislation and policies
  • Fluency in an Indigenous language
