Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sales strategies that align with MFS' company strategy, monitoring industry trends and developing a long-term approach to marketing our investment management services to institutions.
Develop and implement tactical plans and approaches to achieve superior results in the sales of institutional products and funds, as well as the gathering of institutional assets for separate account management.
Meet and exceed sales goals by identifying opportunities from the prospect universe that align with MFS' capabilities and values, arranging and hosting relevant travel in support of these goals.
Work closely with our global consultant team to market MFS' institutional products through consultants to appropriate institutional investors, coordinating strategy for field consultant coverage.
Collaborate with our Platform and Relationship Management teams on executing the DC strategy in Canada and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
Establish long-term brand building initiatives that help anchor the name awareness of MFS in its core distribution channels in the region.
Maintain prospect data and information, inputting and updating opportunities using MFS' c360 database with all relevant information.
Work closely with our investment team to effectively communicate the MFS story, investment strategies, and investment views of the firm, possessing and maintaining a strong technical understanding of all MFS' strategies.
Interact as a complete team player with other MFS departments, staying current on industry news and understanding legal and regulatory issues and how to manage/articulate these to clients.
Contribute to the management of the business by participating in projects, committees, and informal groups.
Bring extensive business development experience of investment management services to institutions based in the local region.
Have a passion for the investment management business with demonstrable knowledge of investment markets and investment management services, and a thorough understanding of equity and fixed income instruments and investment strategies.
Be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task, use CRM systems, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of activities and contacts on MFS' client management systems and technology.
Be a creative thinker, able to work independently.
Hold a Bachelor's Degree and Level 1 CFA or CIM certification.
Advising Representative registration is preferred.
