Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with project managers, directors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with GHD's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management system.
  • Participate in business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on environmental and emergency response projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in team leadership and management.
  • Experience in construction project management is an asset.
  • Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec and ability to be registered in other regions.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in project execution and proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Hold a valid ASP Construction card.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage priorities and intervene as needed.
  • Capacity to adapt leadership style to team composition.
  • Good emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to assemble, influence, and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Excellent personnel management and mentorship skills.
  • Team player with leadership skills.
  • Analytical skills with problem-solving abilities.
