About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright Industrial Specialist to join our team at K-Indu. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in various industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install new machinery and equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Supervision and Coaching: Supervise and coach apprentices in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Estimation and Fabrication: Estimate costs and materials required for maintenance and repair tasks, and fabricate parts as needed.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to other workers, including operating hoisting and lifting equipment, and reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Hoisting and Rigging Training, Forklift Operator Certification, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with conveyor systems, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, industrial and stationary engines, pneumatic systems, power tools, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, welding equipment, and hand tools.
  • Area of Specialization: Start-up and testing, shutdown operations, renovating and restoring, rigging and handling, troubleshooting, centering and setting to elevation, bearing, seals, and packing.
  • Security and Safety: Valid driver's license, willing to travel, and own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, team player, and ability to work under pressure.
