Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Upstaff. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick and prepare products for shipment, loading and unloading product from trucks and couriers in a timely manner
  • Completing order picking, shipping, and receiving documentation accurately
  • Responsible for accurately receiving and moving materials to warehouse storage
  • Organizing and prioritizing orders to be picked and printing shipping documentation where required
  • Using software to generate documentation and shipping labels
  • Understanding the importance of inventory control and assisting with cycle counts
  • Responsible for quality control, reporting and rejecting product outside of specifications
  • Operating reach and counterbalance forklifts and stretch wrappers
  • Frequent lifting of product cases up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working with tools and machinery as some assembly work may be required
  • Performing equipment preventative maintenance
  • Communicating well with co-workers and willing to assist others
  • Clean and maintain work and warehouse area
  • Operating within health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Assisting in other areas of the plant when required
Requirements:
  • Strong work ethic that includes leadership skills, is responsible and takes pride in their work
  • Forward thinking to maintain a clean, neat and well-organized warehouse
  • Prioritizing workload to finish on a tight schedule
  • Effectively tracking work in progress
  • Detail oriented, can read and understand work orders and follow procedures
  • Inventory management experience is an asset
  • A self-starter capable of independent work but also work well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Must have previous experience working with machinery, hand tools and have basic mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working with shipping software and business desktop and web software applications
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience working as an order picker, shipper and receiver
  • WHIMS and TDG knowledge and certification an asset
  • Third party Counter Balance certification (Not Mandatory)
Physical Requirements:

This position is physically demanding. It requires repetitive bending, twisting and lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Education:

High school diploma/GED required.

9:00 am to 7:00 pm
