Job Summary

Unlimited Safety Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter to join our team. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for providing fire protection, firefighting, and emergency services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fire protection, firefighting, and other emergency services
  • Perform required duties at the station and on-site as per USS policies and procedures
  • Operate company vehicles safely and conduct pre/post-trip inspections
  • Participate in safety meetings with emphasis on hazards
  • Maintain a respectful work environment by demonstrating positive workplace behavior
  • Comply with company policies regarding code of conduct, uniform, dress, and appearance
  • Ensure all required safety paperwork is complete, organized, and submitted
  • Operate company vehicle in a professional manner, in accordance with USS policy, highway traffic laws, and any rules of operation in effect on privately owned roads
  • Complete required fire and rescue training courses
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
  • NFPA 1001-Fire Fighting Practices level 1 & II
  • NFPA 472 or 1072 Hazardous Material Awareness & Hazardous Materials Operations
  • CPR/AED Level C
  • H2S Alive
  • Common Safety Orientation
  • Emergency Medical Responder with ACP registration
  • Class 3Q or provincial equivalent
  • Clean criminal background history and vulnerable sector check
  • Clean driver five-year driver's abstract
  • Ability to commute to Onoway/Alberta Beach, AB
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a firefighter
  • Previous experience in the oil & gas industry
  • NFPA 1006- Technical Rescue
  • NFPA 1002-Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator
