At Arcadis, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Lead to join our team. As a Senior Geotechnical Lead, you will be responsible for leading our expanding geotechnical business across Canada, establishing and maintaining client relationships, and managing project financials. You will also be responsible for designing innovative engineering solutions to address complex client problems, promoting the involvement of Arcadis Global resources, and educating local staff on their benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage geotechnical projects, ensuring client satisfaction through effective project management, communication, and collaboration.
  • Design innovative engineering solutions to address complex client problems.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, promoting the involvement of Arcadis Global resources.
  • Educate local staff on the benefits of Arcadis Global resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in geotechnical or a related engineering field.
  • Current P.Eng. designation in Ontario.
  • 15+ years of experience in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering fields, subsurface investigations, foundation/shoring recommendations, earth structure design, and/or construction supervision.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Expertise in the Oil and Gas Sector, Mining Sector, waste management, Rail, Transit, and Pavement Design.
  • Landfill and tailings dam design.
  • Deep foundations design and installation.
  • Environmental contaminant investigation and soil management plans.
  • Northern/Arctic engineering and experience with First Nations.
  • Proficiency in current geotechnical/hydrogeological software.
  • Experience in inspection, testing, vibration analysis, and building condition evaluations.
  • Mine waste management and remote site borrow searches.
