Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to live their lives to the fullest.

About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming. You will also provide resident care and services, such as aiding residents with communication and connections, administering medication under the supervision of a registered health professional, and ensuring residents have access to mobility and assistive devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support to residents
  • Encourage residents to participate in programs offered by the Resident Experience Team
  • Support residents with their activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming
  • Administer medication under the supervision of a registered health professional
  • Ensure residents have access to mobility and assistive devices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution, or be an Internationally Educated Nurse with a degree in Nursing. You will also need to be detail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care to residents.
