Cashier/Kitchen Attendant

At the City of Vancouver, we are seeking a skilled Cashier/Kitchen Attendant to join our team at Carnegie Community Centre. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional customer service and food preparation skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, including preparing and packaging catering orders and light meals
  • Operate the concession point of sale and cash accounts records
  • Serve customers with a smile and provide excellent customer service
  • Train and supervise concession volunteers
  • Ensure the concession is properly stocked and maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards
  • Conduct cash-outs and assist kitchen staff in cleaning, receiving deliveries, and other related duties
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 10 and preferably one year experience in commercial kitchen, catering, or food service operations
  • Experience in dealing with a broad spectrum of customers and a demonstrated focus on customer service
  • Food Safe Level 1 or ability to obtain is a requirement
