Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for collecting used dishes, pots, pans, and utensils from various areas within the kitchen and transporting them to the designated washing area. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that items are properly scraped before being placed in the dishwashing machine.
- Your expertise in operating the dishwashing machine will guarantee sparkling clean dishes, which you will then dry and distribute to their respective storage areas. Maintaining a well-organized and efficient workflow is paramount to your role.
- Maintaining a spotless kitchen environment is crucial. You will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces, including sinks, counters, food wagons, storage racks, and the dishwashing machine itself, are meticulously cleaned and sanitized at all times.
- Your commitment to safety and hygiene will be evident in your daily temperature and sanitizer checks, ensuring compliance with established HACCP policies and procedures.
- You may also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our walk-in coolers and freezers, contributing to a safe and efficient food storage environment.
- Your customer service skills will be valuable as you bus tables, clean and sanitize them, and remove customer trays, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all.
- Depending on operational needs, you may also provide cashier coverage, operating the POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail will ensure that all products are correctly priced and that customer service is consistently provided.
- You may be involved in assisting with catering set-ups and dismantling, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to contribute to various aspects of our food services operations.
To excel in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to cleanliness, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Grade 10 education and completion of a Work Study Practicum are required.
- Basic related experience of one to three months is preferred.
- A valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is essential.
