You will play a key role in our team as a Part-time Accounting Clerk, working 40 hours bi-weekly, 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4pm. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely processing of invoices and serving as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries.
  • Coding and approving Purchase Orders and invoices in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Assisting in processing orders with vendors, including credit card, purchase requisition, or blanket purchase orders.
  • Providing support during peak workload periods with tasks and projects, such as clerical, financial, and secretarial duties.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • OSSD (or equivalent) completed, plus a minimum of one year of community college Accounting.
  • Two years of accounting experience in a computerized general accounting environment or completion of a Community College Accounting Certificate.
  • Proficiency in the latest version of standard office software applications, including Internet Explorer, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, or any other ED software, as well as office equipment (fax, copier, voice mail, etc.).
