Job Summary

SKYLINE DIESEL TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and repair complex faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including adjustments, replacements, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Specialized Repair: Develop expertise in diesel engine repair, including fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and engine control systems.
  • Powered Equipment Repair: Repair and maintain compressors and other heavy-duty equipment.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical transmissions, drive trains, hydraulic transmissions, power take-offs, and other heavy-duty equipment components.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, reliable, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
