About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at HI-RISE CARPENTRY LIMITED. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide on-the-job training to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
