We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Garrioch Construction. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, safely and efficiently removing debris and materials.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and heavy lifting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Work Hours:

40 hours per week, with regular overtime as required.
