Accounting Supervisor Role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an exceptional Accounting Supervisor to lead a world-class accounting department. As the Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of accounting professionals, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce flawless financial reports.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to determine necessary adjustments.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Apply effective accounting procedures and systems.
  • Communicate financial results and provide valuable insights to senior management.
  • Address and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies promptly.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
