About the Role

As a Manager of Assurance Services, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of review, compilation, and tax engagements. You will work closely with partners and clients to deliver high-quality services and provide exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of professionals in the planning, execution, and completion of assurance engagements
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to deliver high-quality services and provide exceptional client service
  • Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations procedures
  • Review account reconciliations and adjusting entries
  • Review personal and corporate tax returns
  • Consult with clients regarding various business and tax planning needs
  • Provide personal and attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships
  • Add value by identifying client service opportunities, including cross-team collaboration
  • Coach, mentor, and develop assigned coachees for high performance and professional growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent field is preferred
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Without a degree, diploma, or CPA designation, directly transferrable work experience is required
  • Minimum of 4+ years of total experience in Assurance within a professional services firm working with private enterprises of differently complexity levels
  • Demonstrated success providing top-notch client service
  • Strong technical and analytical skills matched with problem-solving skills and professional judgement to help you find optimal solutions in an efficient manner
  • Curiosity and an eye for detail that allows you to view challenges from multiple perspectives and enhance clients' knowledge along the way
  • Strong project management and organizational skills that make your ability to multi-task and meet deadlines second to none
  • Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Quickbooks Online, and Sage Accounting is an asset
  • Technological strength with MS Office 365, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Investment Holding Companies considered an asset
