We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Maintenance Technician. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a strong mechanical aptitude and are eager to tackle challenges in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall physical condition of the property is maintained through regular upkeep and maintenance tasks.
- Perform cleaning and repairs in both vacant and occupied units, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks that may involve the use of ladders, power tools, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Utilize knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs.
- Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, email/web) is advantageous.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in residential maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with tenant relations and residential tenancy legislation is a plus.
