Position Summary

As a key member of our team, the Site Superintendent will report directly to the Field Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction operations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all construction activities align with the established design, quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with trade partners and suppliers to coordinate the timely delivery and installation of materials and labor, while ensuring compliance with Qualico's quality standards and all relevant building and safety regulations.
  • Interpreting architectural plans and specifications, addressing issues, and communicating any discrepancies or inquiries to the project management team.
  • Leading, mentoring, and providing direction to on-site personnel, managing daily operations, and ensuring that tasks are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Upholding Qualico's Safety Program and adhering to applicable safety legislation, conducting site safety orientations, facilitating regular safety meetings, and completing necessary documentation.
  • Conducting pre-possession meetings with clients to thoroughly inspect homes, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered.
  • Maintaining project timelines, preparing regular progress reports, and communicating updates to the project management team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a site superintendent in the residential construction sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Proficient in using office equipment, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel), and construction management software (BuildPro, NewStar, etc.).
  • Physically capable of performing basic construction tasks.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting homeowner walkthroughs and managing key releases is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position primarily involves working on-site during standard business hours. The role may involve exposure to noise from machinery and potential occupational hazards, as well as varying weather conditions. Occasional travel to regional offices or other project sites may be required, along with the possibility of overtime.
