About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Site Construction & Renovations. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measurement and Inspection: Measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting, and perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Crane Maintenance: Clean and lubricate cranes to prevent wear and tear.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mixing and Paving: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Medical Support: Assist the medical examiner in charge as needed.
  • Pipeline Construction: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Rock Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Building Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Site Preparation: Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Demolition: Assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Waste Management: Clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work.
  • Spill Response: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Work Pressure: Work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Overtime: Overtime may be required to ensure project completion.
