Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor/Compliance

At Can-Tech Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor/Compliance to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with production, engineering, and suppliers to ensure that requirements are met and correctly documented.
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures to ensure proper management and efficient activities within the organization, in accordance with AS9100, ISO, and CARs 561 requirements.
  • Lead process improvement planning in a team-based environment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee and direct process quality audits and internal audits of the QMS, ensuring that all processes are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish control, distribution, and preservation of manuals, procedures, and quality records, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct assessments and propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures in areas such as operations, human resources, records management, and communications.
  • Develop and maintain training programs, ensuring that all employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor incoming material quality and work with suppliers to improve the as-received quality level, establishing vendor auditing processes to mitigate escapes.
  • Provide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as required, working with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Oversee and improve the MRB process, driving timely root cause analysis and implementation of preventive corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Review quality document changes (e.g., ECNs, procedures, work instructions), driving effective qualification of product and process changes to ensure a high level of quality.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in sheet metal - aluminum.
  • Completion of a college or university program in Engineering and Business Administration.
  • Proven experience in quantitative data analysis, measurement systems, reporting methodologies, and MRB processes.
  • Ability to review, understand, and interpret technical drawings, documentation, and specifications in accordance with aerospace industry standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 and NADCAP audit requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy and complex environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of business systems, including ERP and Microsoft Office.
