About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic Donor Centre team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the collection of donor blood in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
  • Monitor donors for safety and comfort, providing post-donation care and respecting donor privacy.
  • Ensure safe processing and handling of blood products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve collection goals and support mobile events in our communities.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school and accredited training program in phlebotomy or one year of related experience.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A second language is considered an asset.
