About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary part-time Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic Donor Centre team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phlebotomy in the collection process in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Provide safe and quality service to donors, team members, and volunteers during each stage of the collection process.
  • Monitor donors for safety and comfort, and provide post-donation care and respect for donor privacy.
  • Ensure safe processing and handling of blood products.
  • Work with others to assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components.
  • Assist in setting up booths, tables, and other equipment for mobile events.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school.
  • Completion of accredited training program in phlebotomy or one-year related experience.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • A second language is considered an asset.
