Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, making adjustments as needed.
  • Deliver safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy habits and wellness.
  • Provide nursing services within the defined scope of practice, based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team as needed.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with a large caseload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination, and manual dexterity.
