Ville de Laval seeks a highly motivated and experienced Chief Asset Management Officer to lead our dynamic team in ensuring the efficient management of the city's real estate assets.

As the Chief Asset Management Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic plans for the maintenance, preservation, and enhancement of our valuable infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and contributing to the long-term sustainability of Laval's urban environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of asset management, including planning, budgeting, maintenance, and disposal of real estate assets.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of city-owned buildings and infrastructure.
  • Lead a team of skilled professionals in conducting thorough asset assessments, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to align asset management strategies with overall city goals and objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to asset management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Membership in the Quebec Engineers Order.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in asset management, preferably within the public sector.
  • Proven leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and relevant regulations.

Security clearance is required for this position.
